“Early Morning School” captures the quiet charm and uniqueness of the Sun Peaks Elementary schoolyard —perched at the top of the Platter Lift on Sundance Mountain, surrounded by snow and sunrise. I wanted to show that magical moment before the day begins, when the playground is a snowy slope, the classrooms overlook ski runs, and the students are stepping into a world where learning and mountain life meet. This piece reflects the warmth and wonder of a school nestled right inside a ski resort, where early mornings feel calm, bright, and full of possibility.
