Three Bear Trees
“Three Bear Trees” - this is my tribute to the quiet magic that settles over Sun Peaks Resort when the world turns soft and white. These snow-laden evergreens stood together like a small family in the middle of Tree Bear Run — a towering parent tree with two smaller ones tucked close at its side. The sky was a pale, hazy winter white, the kind that almost erases the horizon, making the trees look even more sculptural and proud. Their branches were heavy with fresh powder, curling and twisting under the weight in patterns that felt almost alive. I stopped on the trail longer than I meant to, just taking in their presence. Something about them felt protective, gentle, and stoic all at once. This painting is my attempt to preserve that feeling — a quiet family portrait shaped by snow, light, and the calm of the alpine.
