“Tod Lake” - this painting always brings me back to the calm of the alpine meadow—bright wildflowers underfoot, the green hills rolling gently toward the still blue water of Tod Lake perched high in the alpine of Sun Peaks Resort. The dark evergreens circling the lake made it feel tucked away and protected, a quiet place where the wind slowed down and everything softened. This painting captures that simple, peaceful summer warm moment I didn’t want to leave.
